Por Una Cabeza
Argentine Tango
The Tango originated in Buenos Aires in the 1700s and has continued to shape the Argentine culture ever since. This tune was written in the early 20th century and continues to be a favorite across many cultures. This setting features a variety of dynamics, some abrupt, and emphasizes both fiery passion in the minor chords offset by the lovely sweetness of the major chords. After the opening, which features a few, carefully placed staccato notes, the remainder of this engaging work is ‘rung’ to the end. Ringers will love ringing this and audiences will enjoy the rhythm and expressions throughout.
